Beginning April 1, 2023, David further expanded his leadership scope to cover the overall hub leadership for the KL hub for Haleon and supports cross functional activities covering mainly the APAC region.From November 1, 2022, he took an expanded role as APAC head of Planning & Forecasting in addition to controllership overseeing end to end finance activities from forecast to actuals for APAC and working closely with the APAC CFO to drive strategic initiatives for the region.Effective July 18, 2022, David took on the role of APAC Close & Control Director (APAC head of controllership) for Haleon post demerger from GSK and LSE public listing as a standalone Consumer Healthcare company. He took on an increased responsibility for the region/segment (including new reporting requirements for investor relations) and is working closely with the Region CFO for Haleon. He also continous to head the APAC hub controllership team in KL with approx 70 people as well as oversight of various service providers.From Feb 7, 2020, David took on more responsibility as the APAC Close and Control Director based in Malaysia for GSK Consumer Healthcare overseeing the full controllership (internal and external) of the APAC business (which includes Southeast Asia & Taiwan, Greater China, ANZ, Japan & Korea and India subcontinent Cluster of countries) with a business size of GBP 2.2 billion. He also heads the APAC hub controllership team in KL and has oversight on various service providers. He also oversees the finance transformation for the APAC business of GSK Consumer (Cx)From June 1st 2016, David has moved to a new role as the Southeast Asia Finance Controller for Glaxosmithkline Consumer Healthcare based in Singapore. In this role, he oversees the consolidation and financial planning, budgeting and reporting of 6 markets across southeast asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Indochina and Philippines). He is involved in partnering with the area general manager and area finance director to grow the southeast asia business. He also provides support and partenering with the local fiannce directors and general managers.Previously, David held various finance and project roles within GSK finance with increasing responsibility after starting as an accountant in 2012.Prior to joining GSK, David is an Associate Director (Manager) in Ernst & Young Philippines with more than 6 years of experience in external audit and advisory services and his last stint in E&Y was as a consultant/resource for GSK.
