Profile bio

About David Chudd

I am an experienced and innovative professional trained in emergency medical care and as an ICU nurse. I am searching for an opportunity to work in a challenging and educational environment that can expand my knowledge in critical care medicine. I have over 20 years of providing emergency and critical care pre-hospital transportation and care. I have strived to increase my knowledge base and enter nursing to allow me a chance to become a part of the multi-disciplinary team that influences the patient outcome over the entire course of a hospital stay, rather than the short pre-hospital stay. I enjoy the challenge of ICU work and look forward to learning more every day to provide top tier care to my patients

Listed skills include Ems, Ambulance, Emergency Services, Paramedic, and 44 others.

The new owners of this service brought me in on a short term mandate to correct all the problems the service was having. I was brought in to accomplish a mission as a short term contractor. During my tenure, I wrote a policy and procedure manual from scratch. I repaired several regulatory problems pending against the service from several city, state and federal agencies. Through my experience and leadership the company grew from 4 vehicles to 12 when I left. In addition I was single handedly responsible for creating the Advanced Life Support program at Assist. I set the policies and filed the forms with the city, state and federal government to procure the narcotics and the operating authority to transform our BLS Service to ALS. I was instrumental in solving contract compliance issues with our contracted facilities as well as the NYC Department of Education. I transformed a struggling BLS service with broken and antiquated equipment to a state of the art service with a 75% new fleet of vehicles, top of the line equipment and people. My hiring, recruitment and retention programs allowed the service to drop overtime pay 60% while increasing service to our primary contracts. I left this service fully transformed and ready to grow in the future. Show less
