Responsible for the work of 300+ engineering professionals across three design centres and directed new product development from concept to launch and oversaw escalated field issues support • Created and managed a budget of $50M + for Toronto ON, Brossard QC, Corropoli Italy and Tel Aviv Israel, including $34M direct responsibility and $17M shared responsibility, for Tel Aviv/Kyiv• Led the ongoing performance review and resource optimization planning processes for all three design centres, using a performance based-increase method to drive results• Oversaw one of the largest engineering restructuring that included appointing an Architecture Director, a site manager for Brossard, Quebec and the re-assignment of the hardware, mechanical and software directors, within the team, that best utilized skills and capabilities• As the engineering leader for due diligence, evaluated the merger and acquisition of a $100M business in Israel and drove the successful integration of the teams.• Directed the integration of technologies, from acquired businesses, into existing product portfolios that enhanced products offering• As the head of the engineering division, worked closely with the senior HR team, in the selection and approval of the vendor for a high volume engineering recruitment project and final interview process for senior professional positions

Corropoli Italy

Relocated with my family to Corropoli Italy to lead the integration of the engineering department of an acquisition (Bentel Fire and Security) into Tyco Safety Products.Directed a team of over 30 on-site designers and managers in Italy while concurrently managing the Systems Integration, Approval Services and Technical Publications activities in Toronto• Oversaw the combined budget of $17M for the Toronto and Corropoli engineering activities.• Successfully integrated the Italian design centre, and ensured adherence to established Tyco processes, tools and best practices, resulting in predictable and consistent product releases• Remotely led new products development in Toronto. Resulted in the successful release of the company’s first ever “Narrow band 2-way wireless control panel – known as the ‘Alexor.

Directed three managers and a team of over 100 professionals including various niche disciplines, such as Approvals, Compliance and Safety, and managed an Engineering Budget of $16M • Worked on a cross functional team from six business units to design a common development process known as ‘Rally Point’ and drove the successful introduction within Intrusion Security• Drove the functionality of DSC’s new Power Series panels with over 100 new features along with a new series of keypads with integrated wireless receivers• Led the first multi-location initiative for a North American GSM communicator based on an Italian design, with resources from the Italian and American centres

Led a team of 95 professionals within the following disciplines: Testing, CAD, Mechanical, Product Maintenance, Bill of Materials, Hardware Services, Approvals, Compliance, and managed an Engineering Budget of $15M • Restructured the engineering department that provided key resources to a newly acquired engineering team (Secutron)• Key member of the integration team that oversaw the merging of Tyco’s financial processes into the DSC development team, following the acquisition
