For ten years Dr. Clavier was the Vice President of Administration and Development at the Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute (PARI). At PARI, Dr. Clavier was responsible for day-to-day administration of the not-for-profit public foundation, including: personnel management, contracts, image development and fund raising. He managed a $1.6 million annual budget. He served as the principal investigator for a $1.3 million National Science Foundation grant which was funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
