I have had over 20 years’ experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities, but experience could pre-date that to my upbringing in which from a young age I was lucky enough to be part of my mother Sheila Coates’s vision for educating children on the Autistic spectrum.I officially started working at various schools from the age of 17, have gained years of experience in Special Education Needs in particular with those on the Autistic spectrum and more recently with those who have Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties.Having completed my Diploma in Counselling from Aylesbury College in 2012 I have set up David Coates Counselling that offers bespoke counselling to children, adults and the families who might benefit from a Talking Therapy.I am a Member of the British Association of Counselling and Physiotherapists. My membership number is as follows: 767218.Currently working as Mental Health Practitioner for the Witherlsack Group.
