Post Doctoral Research Associate
London, Greater London, Gb
I completed my PhD at Imperial College in 2011. In 2012 I moved to the William Harvey Research Institute at Barts and The London to take up a postdoctoral research associate position. I moved to the lab of Federica Marelli-Berg, here, together with a dedicated team, I was instrumental in finishing a project studying the effect of hepatocyte growth factor on T cells which was published in Immunity in 2017. The groups projects, funded by the British Heart Foundation, revolved around the mechanisms by which T cells interact with the heart and how these mechanisms change during disease and can be manipulated for therapeutic benefit. These studies, combined with a laudable effort from the whole group led to the publication of a paper in Circulation in 2022 (10.1161/CIRCULATIONAHA.121.055610) which is hoped will lead to a simple test for the diagnosis of myocarditis.I also co-authored several well received papers in Nature Communications, JEM and PNAS.
