TUI Travel PLC is a leading leisure travel company operating in over 180 countries with 2014 Turnover of $23.9bn (£15bn) and operating profit of over $954m (£600m).TTH&R carry over 1.4m passengers and have revenues of over $452m (€400m) per annum and operating profits of circa $23m (€20m). End to End (including Tour Operator part) total revenues are over $1.13bn (€1bn) with operating profits of over $113m (€100m).Key achievements: • Investment Management – over $452m (€400m) from 2011-2015 on new builds and hotel renovations. Led Investment Case proposal for the PLC Board approval and conducted post-investment appraisals • Business Turnaround – turned around a loss making business (€25m loss) to a profit of €3m within 18 months by introducing guaranteed contracts, changing concepts and source markets, closing Istanbul office and cost savings• Headed up Finance across the entire hotel portfolio, via 9 direct reports in the UK and matrix management of the 200 overseas Finance staff• Growth – achieved top line growth of 124% in the TUI hotels portfolio from 42 to 94, through initital Investment Case proposal and negotiation of leases (20+) and development of strategic JV partnerships (Turkey, Croatia and Dominican Republic)• Developed relationships with international banks - obtained debt financing of $113m (€100m)• Directorships in 16 Companies - 15 overseas Companies including Panama, Egypt, Greece, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Tunisia and the UK• End to End Profitability – developed the company’s first end to end profitability model, which has been used as the key commercial tool in understanding exactly what profits are derived from each hotel and from which source market. Enabled remedial actions to be taken for under performing units improving the overall Group Profitability

The Commercial Director of TUI Russia & Ukraine (turnover of $500m) had a dual role as the Finance lead as well as leading the strategy process and driving business performance. This included analysing the market, identifying targets, negotating with vendors, subsequent due diligence and acquisition through to post integration. Key achievements:• Led the strategy of TTPLC in Russia & Ukraine, resulting in the acquisition of 2 Russian companies and 1 Ukrainian company• Introduced and managed the launch of TUI as a brand in Russia and Ukraine in 2010, one of the first International Tourism companies to do a brand launch in Russia • Overaw the key reporting changes from black accounting (common in Russian companies) to white accounting (a pre-requisite for a FTSE 100 Company) as the new acquisitions made the transition to 100% white full transparent reporting consistent with PLC principles
