Director Of Operations & Finance
The Vilna Shul, Boston’S Center For Jewish Culture, Inc.
Leveraged my volunteer experience in non-profit management to join this growing non-profit that serves as a center for Jewish culture and communal engagement in Boston. Responsible for all aspects of financial and operations management. The Vilna is the last remaining immigrant era synagogue building (built in 1919) in Boston and offers a wide range of programs focused on arts, culture, and Jewish life. The Vilna is akin to a 100-year-old "start-up" with an entirely new staff since late 2020, growing success in fundraising through individual and foundation philanthropy, and a revitalized strategy and programming portfolio. My areas of responsibility are wide-ranging and include: monthly financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, audit oversight, cash management, payroll and human resources, information systems and technology, facilities and project management, vendor management, and security. I serve as a thought partner to the Executive Director and the staff liaison to three committees of the Board with an overarching goal of professionalizing the organization.
