• Managed the maintenance team consisting of a Maintenance Manager, 11 Maintenance Technicians, and a Maintenance Clerk across 3 shifts.• Completed 54 capital projects for a total cost of 16.2 million dollars. All associated time and process goals were met and the projects were 0.14% under budget. • When required, worked as a Production Supervisor to maintain plant efficiency.• Served as site Valspar Contractor Manager (VCM). • Preserved HSE functions while the site was looking for a replacement. Ensured the maintenance of programs, ensured environmental reporting was completed, and maintained a positive safety culture. • Maintained multiple PLC systems, including a modern RSLogix system running the solvent portion of the facility, an antiquated Modicon system running the latex portion of the facility and fill floor, and several PLC variants controlling individual machinery.• Managed a secondary site, which was used as a warehouse, and kept building systems operational until final disposition could be determined.• Developed a site wide information system, which updated in real time, to provide information to all employees about the production status of the plant. Consolidated all the information used in different platforms in the plant into one concise display, letting employees know at any moment where they are in comparison to takt time and target.

• Primary responsibility was to provide engineering expertise for a variety of plant functions at two facilities, while managing, specifying and proposing projects that provide for the company’s long and short term goals and needs. • Prepared and maintained records relating to the company’s environmental impact; created reports for Federal and State agencies relating to material and final disposition of chemicals kept at the plant.• Championed a project to retrofit existing lighting within two facilities. Performed a power study to develop a project payback; project had an actual ROI after installation of less than year. The study was also used to renegotiate the plant energy contract, saving the company an additional $125,000 per year.• Led a team to look at sustainability projects throughout two facilities to support an ISO 14001 project.• Created an automated system for notifying users of impairment of plant systems during off-hours, allowing for faster recovery from off hour shutdowns. • Managed the installation and planning of a million dollar small volume automated filling project.• Completed a three year project closing an 80,000 gallon under-ground storage field, which consisted of 9 tanks. Replaced with a complete above ground storage system. • Specified and programmed a multi-unit HMI user interface for 59 mixing vessels, greatly improving system transparency to batch-making operators and reducing error rates.
