One of 2 original officers to develop a team to advise and guide Council activities in the area of Energy and environmental management. Team grew to 15 and incorporated several key projects that I initiated or led including; EU Funded ProgrammesLobbied and assisted NW development Agency to develop a domestic housing fund for Energy Efficiency, resulting in £15m REACH programme across Merseyside and bid for the "RetroFIT for the Future" scheme under ERDF a £5M social housing retrofit scheme.Southport Eco Visitor Centre Educational programme, teaching 2,000 local pupils every year about the environment. Project includes 2 permanent resident teachers and onsite renewable energy and public educational resources.Affordable Warmth ServiceCreated, managed and funded the service, with 3 staff aimed at tackling fuel poverty in the borough and helped over 7,000 households many with grants or increased income. Levered in millions in funding over 10 years.Renewable Energy Planning PolicyCentral to the Planning policy for onsite renewable energy in the borough leading to over 20 developments of integrated renewable energy systems in new commercial developments.Sustainability Lead for Building Schools for the future
