I oversaw the running of the South Island warehouse which distributes all the combine harvester parts to the Case and New Holland dealers throughout New Zealand. My role was sole charge and included Order Processing/ Inventory Management: • Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies.• Plan and monitor the storage, delivery and dispatch of orders.• Oversee and manage stock control and processing of orders.• Coordinate the use of IDS (Norwood’s ERP system).• Respond to and deal with any customer communications. • Plan future capacity requirements.• Assessing returns meet the return guidelines.• Continually looking for ways to enhance the quality of service from the South Island warehouse.• Regularly update head office on inventory performance• Recommending stocking based on local product requirements.• Stocktaking (which includes cyclic counts). Building Maintenance: Manage the building warrant of fitness and any issues regarding building maintenance/security issues. I am the fire warden/health and safety rep for the Ashburton site. Customer Relationships: Part of my role is to manage and maintain relationships with the dealers but also with their customers who I interact with when they pick-up parts direct from the warehouse. I am also on call 24/7 in case our customers require parts after hours. I also arrange any special deliveries to any part of the country, using urgent couriers/urgent air freight (including a helicopter if need ASAP).

I managed three areas of the business, which was the Raw Material Warehouse, Further Processing Area and Outwards Goods/Dispatch. I managed 13 full time employees.

Dealt manly with customers in the dairy sector (including Fonterra, Goodman Fielder, Synlait, OCD, etc). My role was a sole charge role and included various aspects of warehousing including - Ordering of parts (mainly from Germany), data entry, use of multiple databases (using Navision, Accpac and a lite version of SAP), logistics, pick pack, customer service, etc.

My role included purchasing, stock control, data entry, warehousing. I was also the team leader for the store and reported to the Warehouse Manager. I managed 3 staff and took over running the warehouse when the Warehouse Manager was made redundant.
