Includes budgeting for 5 years of capital and operational expenses. Coordination with wafer fab, R&D, pen design, and pen characterization teams. Managed coworkers in tooling and process development to launch these new products. Managed ~$700k capital budget. Communicated project status to partners and executive management.

Instrumental in developing systems to gather data from HP-UX, Windows, and LynxOS-based tools on Print Head Manufacturing lines. Supported the Material Tracking System (see below). Designed, implemented, and maintained Informix, Oracle, and SQL Server stored procedures as needed. Designed and implemented Statistical Process Control, production metric, and failure analysis charts. Assisted manufacturing and engineering staff with data analysis. Managed projects enabling direct benefits in the tens-of-millions of dollars.

Contract programmer with assignments at the US Lottery and Hewlett-Packard.

Oversaw the completion of the 32-bit version of a real-time, multi-tasking, OS/2-based medical device monitoring system. The STATUS system monitors infusion pumps, pulse oximeters, ventilators, and respirators from various manufacturers and relays warnings and alarms to nursing stations. Directed two consultants in this development. Led the addition of weigh-scale support to this system. Participated in the design of an Infusion Manager module for the system that tracks drugs being infused and reduces medication errors. Debugged problems with the system including inter-process communication and semaphore usage.

Designed and implemented major features and software subsystems for automated warehouse products. Directed development teams, managed projects, installed software and computer hardware at customer sites, and trained and supported clients.

Was one of the founding members of the firm that produced On The Money! business and accounting software for DOS- and UNIX-based systems. Directed the Programming, Testing, Customer Service, and Documentation departments of Parker Systems' San Diego office. Conducted employee performance appraisals and interviews.

Designed and implemented a prototype color sonar display system written in FORTRAN. Interfaced a mouse with a Tektronix 4115 graphics display system. Designed and implemented a validation suite for the LIST_UTILITIES package of the Common Ada Programming Support Environment Interface Set (CAIS), using Ada on a VAX/VMS system. Designed and implemented a PL/I to C translator on a VAX/UNIX system.

Began as a data entry operator and advanced to become a medical claims technician and later a computer operator and programmer.
