This included rig surveys, installation and operation of proprietary equipment and instruments, setting up WITS protocol on rigs for optimal data communication, supervising lower level technitions, and implementing field changes to improve or correct design issues. Other responsibilities involve constant monitoring and calculating of the wellbore pressure profile, made possible via the use of an RCD (rotating control device), and an automated choke manifold forming a closed-loop circulating system. I use the MPD System to manipulate the surface pressure, thereby mitigating drilling hazards and NPT that occur when drilling through narrow pore-pressure and fracture-gradient windows and unstable formations.
