David Connelly CD, MBA, B.Comm., is the owner of Ile Royale Enterprises Ltd., a board member and strategic consultant to organizations and Aboriginal groups implementing economic development opportunities. He has assisted over 30 successful strategic alliances. His approach considers broader economic development issues including: training, health, governance, and infrastructure. He helped pioneer ground breaking partnerships and benefits agreements. He has served on boards of: public companies, Aboriginal development corporations and private companies in a range of industries.As President and CEO from 1992-1997 he lead the turnaround of the Inuvialuit Development Corporation, one of Canada’s largest Aboriginal development corporations. In 2000 he published and co- authored the book “Five Year Review of Nunavut Land Claims Agreement 1993-1998”. In recognition of his contribution to Aboriginal economic development he received the Queen’s Jubilee Medal in 2003.Nominated by six Aboriginal leaders, in 2010 David shared the Prospector and Developers Association of Canada’s prestigious Environmental & Social Responsibility Award.
