I am a businessman, entrepreneur, engineer and author. I have built a multi-million pound international company and am a leader in the field of vehicle conversions.I am passionate about my business and building rear-access wheelchair accessible vehicles which are life changing for my customers all over the UK. Knowing I am helping wheelchair users and their families to improve their lives drives me to constantly improve and develop my designs – often using feedback from customers to make adjustments that will make their lives easier. I am proud of my commitment to safety and campaign to improve the standard of conversions in the UK as well as the welfare and rights of wheelchair users. For example, in 1986, I successfully negotiated with HMRC so that disabled customers purchasing a car fitted with a Car Chair were exempt from VAT on both the car and the conversion.
