David has been writing life poetry for over 30 years, taking inspiration from his experiences’ and the everyday emotions that make us who we are. Growing up just outside of Mayfield in East Sussex, David spent time in the choir at St. Dunston in Mayfield, eventually earning his spot as head chorister. During the day he looked after National Hunt horses and became a jockey on the circuit until his height became an issue. At twenty-two David decided to pursue a career in the music industry, catching a break he started Disk Jockeying, then spent time as front man for the John Vine and Pernod cabaret show’s, before going to America to collaborate on a number of music projects. On David’s return to England the Harley-Davidson Motor Company approached the entertainer to front their live shows in Europe and the UK. David, an instant success, stayed with Harley for 8 years before deciding it was time for a change, setting up his own gourmet food company. In addition to entertaining, David has spent a lot of time in Romania, volunteering at a children’s orphanage. This experience inspired him to write a series of Children’s books about the daily adventures of ‘Bogg the Dog’ based on the escapades’ of his own dogs. David now resides in Kent with his wife Jan, daughter Minty and their four dogs Antel, Aggota, Marley and Jigsaw.
