I have now taken up a new position as installation engineer working for Heat and Control Pty Ltd after being made redundant by CPM Wolverine Proctor due to the COVID pandemic and an unfortunate drop in sales. I was working for them as installation engineer after working for Flour mills of Nigeria after being made redundant from GEA freezing as they have moved their operations from Eurotek office in Norwich UK to their office in Holland.I have successfully run and completed a number of spiral freezer installations within Europe and one in Tunisia. I have also supervised shutdown work for either warranty or maintenance issues. Working on site with either factory staff or local contractors. I was previously working on contract in Nigeria for Flour Mills of Nigeria plc for the past four and a half years. Where I was running multiple teams doing flour and maize mill installations. When I arrived the work force I had were limited in their skill level so as well as doing the installation I was training them on health and safety issues, which included rigging, lifting, manual handling. Some of the better skilled ones were trained in reading engineering drawings, fabrication and machine alignment. Considering this we were still able to complete the installation ahead of schedule. I was then asked to take my workers to northern Nigeria to do project work on a Maize mill. When left I had built a small but capable and efficient team of workers.While at CPM Wolverine Proctor prior to being made redundant I ran the largest installation project they had done, this required the installation of multiple machines in a factory lay out, inter facing with other suppliers which was completed on time and to the customers satisfaction. I have installed their drying equipment into the factories worldwide, of some of the world’s best known brands in the food, tobacco and fibre industry.( Nestlé, Cereal Partners worldwide., Kellogg's, BAT, JTI, Thai fibre.) Their driers were either gas or steam heated, single or multi stage conveyor systems. Installations were always done using local labour.
