The early years of this role were spent developing insurance software for underwriters who outsourced their development to R3. The later years were spent developing a replacement insurance system for companies that R3 acquired – this involved me gathering requirements, writing functional specifications, process flows, database administration and front-end development. The system was originally intended to only support the Travel business and was eventually developed to support Household and Commercial schemes, as well as Management Information, Accounting, Claims management and a diary.Replacing manual data reporting with automated reporting.Developed an application to provide household insurance premiums for over 250 estate agents nationwide.Developed insurance quotation engines for 10 underwriters.Resolution of various support issues leading to cancellation of out sourced support contracts.
