Risk issues fed into Governance and Control meetings as chair.•Acting as Relationship Manager with key suppliers. Primary outsource - £1,000,000 plus annual spend. oResolved long standing high risk issues with heritage suppliers preventing brand damage. oNegotiated reductions in claimed debt of up to 100% following detailed analysis. oRecouped £750,000 in funds overlooked by other business areas with effective project management.•Eliminated £1,000,000 plus of aged debt by developing and implementing a central payments unit to make all supplier and customer payments reducing leakage and risk. oReduced FTE making payments 172 to 7. oPayments strategy equates to 117,000 transactions and £100 million plus.•Created an internal audit function to improve and maintain standards; results driving training provision and contributing to the appraisal process. This involved mapping all process for all job types providing the basis for the audits.•Embraced and promoted technology to increase B2B and B2C efficiencies.
