Rail Order now benefits from 56,000 sq. ft of advanced facilities in Scunthorpe enabling the provision of enhanced customer stockholding and refurbishment and maintenance services.Rail Order has built up an excellent reputation for supplying quality products, and has strived to achieve cost down by working in partnership with our suppliers. Rail Order supplies consumable products to many of the UK Train Operating Companies. Our product range is split into Traction and Rolling Stock products, and the more general workshop consumables. Rail Order has proved that by working in close partnership with our customer base and service providers, a flexible solution can be adapted to the needs of the customers. This has proved successful with several major customers, by adopting practices such as consignment stocking, kitting of service components, float management, total logistics solutions, effective supply chain management and just in time supply. Unipart Rail, part of the Unipart Group is a logistics and distribution company, with a turnover in excess of £150million, supplying traction and rolling stock spares to the train operators and major over haulers. Unipart Expert Practices is the consultancy business which operates as part of Unipart Rail.The key responsibilities are to: Work with clients to understand current business issues and implement sustainable changes to drive business improvements and benefits. Agree a scope of work, produce structured project plans with timescales, responsibilities and key milestones. Define and produce Key Performance Indicators  Carry out detailed diagnostics of a business or department within it. Produce and deliver presentations to key stake holders including Managing Directors and Financial Directors  Develop understanding of Lean tools and techniques across all areas of the clients business. Deliver training and coaching of Lean tools and techniques to people across to all levels of a client’s business. To create a continuous improvement environment and culture, where people are engaged and focused on improvements. To identify opportunities to grow sales for the Unipart Expert Practises and Unipart Rail parts division
