Information Reporting Manager
CurrentProvide Information Reporting advice and support to Comerica personnel throughout all markets. The level of support provided varies by department and can include assistance on special projects, research and advice on specific information reporting questions, tracking of law changes and communication to affected areas, participation in compliance meetings and assistance in the training of personnel.I review the filings of IRS Form 945, Annual Return of Withheld Income Tax to report tax withheld on IRA accounts. In addition I review Forms 1042/1042-S, related to income paid to foreign persons and Forms 1099-A & C, related to abandonment of property and cancellation of debt.I work with the IRS B-Notices (Name/TIN mismatch) and C-Notices (backup withholding related to unreported income) providing the Comerica Departments with the applicable customer relationship and the instructions regarding compliance with IRS required procedures.I work on all IRS civil penalty abatement requests for notices received on information returns filed by any department we support.
