Time and intention—not possessions—are life’s truest forms of wealth.Growing up close to Alaska’s vast wilderness, I found my way to knowledge through a library card, and with my parents’ trust, I learned the value of keeping my curiosity sincere. At 19, with no formal education, I moved to Boston, secured a corporate tech management role, and dove headfirst into city life. It was exhilarating, but I soon realized that titles and the "ladder" weren’t enough—I craved adventure and deeper insight. So, I charted a new course.After teaching myself to sail on the Charles River, I spent over a decade close to the sea, rising from deckhand to Captain in the world of mega yachts. There, I saw wealth’s limitations up close and discovered that time—to do the things that inspire more than they cost—is life’s most valuable currency. This insight shifted my path once again, bringing me back to Alaska, where I could build on the values of my youth, start a family, and live a purpose-driven life focused on real impact. A decade of leading nonprofit projects taught me another hard truth: countless transformative ideas go unrealized without the right resources. It was a limitation I couldn’t accept. The answer was to create a new kind of organization—one that could make hope actionable in a self-sustaining way.With Equilibria Group, I set out to reimagine the conventional “time-for-money” equation. Our mission is to liberate people, ideas, and intentions to create, improve, and contribute on their own terms, without limitation. Resilience, curiosity, optimism, and persistence are values that transcend setbacks and form the foundation of meaningful progress.
