I am an Operation Supervisor for a grade 1 listed historic property, 66 acre park and onsite cafe for English Heritage. The key aspects of this role involves development in visitor expireance, leadership over a range of teams of staff and volunteers, retail sales and merchandising, membership promotions, overseeing of all training of the team and 140 volunteers, planning and coordinating of events, implementing and updating of health and safety policies and assessments relating to the team and site, overseeing all maintenence standards and coordinating of repairs and up keep, in charge of all finance on site as well as payroll. I work and thrive to be at the forefront of development. Creating plans and developing projects that further impact the sites brand and presence within the community. A key area is the development of volunteer programs that focuses on skills in historic story telling, research, events, as well as wildlife conservation. In overseeing the achievement of commercial targets I work on innovative methods of promotion, covering a range of areas such as: retail, food and beverage, membership, events, and environmental work. In this I work to develop the team by providing materials, and opertunity in the development of key skills through training, workshops, and personal development plans.
