Managing Delivery Architect
CurrentIn the role of developer and devops on an AdTech team working for Disney Streaming / Hulu, responsible for developing new features and API versions in Java for several backend servers that provide and enrich metadata related to content, viewer, device, etc. Also responsible for maintaining existing code and infrastructure, collecting metrics and building dashboards, load testing, producing and maintaining runbooks, deploying to production and supporting production. Experience with Agile methodologies, Java, Spring Boot, Mockito, Terraform Enterprise, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Jenkins, pipeline builds, Micrometer metrics and Datadog as well as various AWS services such as ECS, Redis, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, SQS, Kinesis and S3.In the role of managing delivery architect, responsible to lead architecture for a project for ISO-NE that migrates their CMS and web services from on premise data center to AWS cloud, upgrading to Crafter CMS 4.0, deployment using Terraform and Kubernetes (using EKS) with CD implemented by ArgoCD, providing multi-region availability and blue-green deployments. Using CloudFront for region failover with WAF and Shield Advanced for security. Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes, AWS Aurora Global Database, EKS with EC2 and ALB, CloudFront, S3, WAF, Shield and Origin Shield.In the role of senior lead architect, responsible for defining and presenting a proposed architecture for a distributed multi-DRM system to CBS/Viacom/Paramount+ that initially supports Apple FairPlay, Google Widevine and Microsoft PlayReady. To provide reliable DRM services, the system implements failover to redundant DRM vendors. The system is also multi-tenant to support the various brands that use the service for content protection.
