Working as part of the projects team I have been responsible for many aspects concerned with the design, fabrication, delivery and erection of structures. Amongst others, my many duties include:• Reading and interpreting architect/engineers drawings.• Planning and Programming of works.• Attending/hosting project meetings• Raising RFIs and resolving project wide issues• Raising and substantiating Variations for changes from the contract.• Monitoring progress throughout the contract.• Liaising with in house departments and other contractors• Procurement of materials• Managing subcontractors and deliveries• Make sure Health and Safety standards are met by myself and others.Whilst working in this position I have gained a vast and invaluable experience of the steel industry working on some of the country’s major landmark buildings and infrastructure. Some notable projects include The new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, The New Everton Stadium, London Bridge Stadium Canopies and Google KingsX; to name but a few

10 Years experienced gained at Laing O'Rourke from Apprentice Bricklayer to Senior Bricklayer with a wide range of experience of other parts of the construction Industry. From working on small scale domestic to major landmark buildings and infrastructure. With notable projects including: Etihad Stadium Redevelopment, The Rock Bury, MUFC Quadrant development, Aintree Racecourse Grandstand; to name a few. During my time at Laing O'Rourke my responsibilities included: Construction of masonry to client specification, reading and interpreting construction drawings, Planning and programming of works, Reporting progress and estimated completion dates to senior site management, assisting procurement of materials, Management of junior staff and apprentices including health and safety plans and standards were met by myself and those around me, Interpreting and implementing method statements, risk assessments and plans of work. Liaising with other trades and sub-contractors to ensure deadlines were met. I have also gained experience in other non masonry tasks, including groundwork, concrete installation, drainage, supervising teams and carrying out tool box talks.
