Aircraft Maintenance Services Manager
CurrentMaxcraft Avionics Ltd is a long established and well-respected aircraft maintenance facility that specializes in complex avionics system upgrades. The company operates from a purpose-built hangar facility located at Pitt Meadows Airport near Vancouver BC; capable servicing of wide variety of aircraft types including light piston singles & twins, turboprops, helicopters and mid-size business jets.• Responsible for the daily and overall operation of all aircraft maintenance and upgrade activities, including schedules, budgets, personnel and quality.• Ensure all maintenance performed on aircraft, engines, avionics, and aircraft components meets Transport Canada regulations, as well as customer quality expectations• Determine staff training needs to maintain work force qualifications and productivity.• Develop new documented procedures to improve processes, efficiency and quality assurance.• Determine needs and assure proper tooling and equipment is available to support operational requirements and coordinate shared resources with other managers to optimize facility resources• Solicit feedback from staff for development of new concepts and actively support and integrate continuous improvement activities into program procedures and processes to attain Service Center margins and ensure that efficiency objectives and customer satisfaction goals are met• Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and ensure margin performance is achieved• Act as direct liaison between vendors, customers and Maxcraft production personnel.• Carry out feasibility and risk analysis for potential new projects.• Provide regular management updates on project progress – schedule, man-hours, and cost.
