I was hired to direct financial operations throughout Europe and South East Asia in addition to managing its 9 subsidiaries spanning France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Ireland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Singapore and Taiwan. My functions also included overseeing Europe and Asia-Pacific revenue programmes, legal contracts VAT and European logistics while advising the Heads of Europe and Asia-Pacific on budgeting, forecasting, logistics and org. structure.Spearheaded the integration of the newly acquired HSC division of NXP in France and the Netherlands into the IDT financial system.Led the start-up of the Netherlands legal entity.Rolled out an R&D claims process within the Netherlands and France with forecasted receipts exceeding US$2m per annum.Executed a complex re-organisation which consisted of transferring all business from IDT Bermuda to IDT Malaysia.Slashed the cost of sales in Europe from 12% to 5% by contributing to the European re-organisation.Expanded the Controller role by tackling duties of the Finance Director of Europe and Logistics Manager following the re-organisation.Re-expanded the Controller role by taking on revenue programmes in Taiwan and developing models so that quarterly accruals fall within 5% of actual payouts.Integrated ICS into the European distribution network and the migration from SmartStream to SAP for European subsidiaries.Started up a branch in Taiwan, transitioned employees to the new branch and eliminated potential tax exposure of US$500k.Improved internal control of cash and investment returns by re-organising the treasury functions for Europe.Realised US$200k in annual freight cost savings by implementing a logistics solution for a major Israeli customer shipping from Malaysia.Led the implementation of the Tundra acquisition which included a mix of integrating distributors into IDT systems, terminating distributors and converting distributors from a direct revenue model to a deferred revenue model.

As a member of the senior management team, I played a key role in establishing the future operational strategy in addition to preparing 3-year plans and budgets.✔ Realised a 20% margin achievement by spearheading negotiations with large tenders such as Castrol and Pfizer as a member of the Strategic Marketing team; additional responsibilities included evaluating new business and performing project analysis.✔ Improved reporting deadlines, production scheduling and sales forecasts by playing an integral role in developing accounting and reporting systems, in tandem with the IT department.✔ Reduced factory machines by 50% and decreased the number of staff needed to run each machine from 4 to 1, thereby optimising factory and inventory reporting.
