I chair the Airports Emergency Planning committee and im responsible for creating and implementing of a comprehensive emergency orders response plan. Led on: the successful delivery of several major airport emergency response exercises; delivery of training, exercises and tabletops with both internal and external stakeholders. I am the emergency services liaison officer. I sit on the northern resilience preparedness group.Oversaw the introduction and training of the Airport firefighters as Mud Rescue Technicians for incidents within the 1000M response area. Im also the duty Airside operations manager responsible for the ramp/ wildlife management/ refueling of aircraft and fire service operations.

Responsibilities:• Responsible for the daily management of the Fire Service Operations and duty Airside manager• Deputize for the Senior Airport Fire officer in his absence.• Ensure the service complies with all current legislation,• Assist with the strategic planning for the Airport.• Chair of Emergency planning in conjunction with both Internal and External stakeholders.• Audit assessments carried out by the Fire Service officers.• Deliver and Implement projects to improve the efficiency of the service• Oversee the fire safety policies and staff training at the Airport. • The formal assessment, ongoing training and development of the airport’s fire fighters in line with the strict standards detailed in the CAA 699 competency standard.• Day to day management of Fire officers supporting and implementing senior management initiatives and dealing with any managerial and HR issues as and when they arise.Qualified Trainer, Assesser, and Internal verifyerOversaw the introduction and training of the Airport Firefighters as Mud Rescue Technicians for incidents within the 1000M response area.Advanced Diploma in Management Practice from the University of Ulster
