BRIGHT NIGHTS-Responsible for overall execution of the production. Consisting of planning, directing and coordinating the set-up, removal and management of the holiday exhibit known as Bright Nights light show at Forest Park in Springfield from September till March. This is a 3 mile trail which is one of the largest productions in New England. Manages assigned crews in constructing and repairing Bright Nights displays. In charge of the ordering, inventory, repair, refurbishing and storage of the lights and displays.Manage the set up and removal of the project under strict timelines.Repair and maintain sequencers and animated electrical boxes.Manages the production for safety, accidents, and proper operation of displays.Adheres to OSHA standards.Operate a 60 ft. lift.Coordinates with outside contractors to assist in the production of set up and take down.Manages assigned crews throughout the run of the show.Coordinate with safety officials and outside contractors during production of the show.Handles all staff scheduling, payroll, budgeting and disciplinary actions.ATHLECTIC FIELDS-Manages maintenance and improvement of all athletic fields in the City of Springfield.Provides services required for athletic functionsPlans, assigns, manages and inspects work of assigned crews engaged in the construction, maintenance, repair and upkeep of athletic fields throughout the City of Springfield.Maintains athletic fields and operates equipment’s necessary to complete aeration, fertilization, top dressing, moving, irrigation, lining and related functions.Strict deadlines are at the scope of this job.Makes recommendations for staffing needs and manages assigned crews.Recommend equipment and material needs, obtains pricing, prepares requisitions and places orders.Prepares athletic surfaces and associated equipment.Consults with coaches on team requirements.Handles all staff scheduling, payroll, budgeting and disciplinary actions.

Supervises the maintenance of several parks in the City of Springfield.Coordinated functions such as walk a thons, road races or atheltic functions within these parks.Supervises the maintenance of grounds and outside structures.Work includes the supervision of skilled tradesmen, helpers, and laborers.Directs skilled and semi-skilled workers engaged in park maintenance with regard to repairing, painting existing buildings, mowing fields, keeping the parks well maintained, and assigned duties to crew.Handled payroll, budgeting and disciplinary actions.
