To achieve this we first needed to gel the two new teams together after closing one print room and moving the newer kit from there to the other print room. Next step involved cross training between the two team new tighter procedures as we were now producing all the banks work in one area which brought new challenges. Next stage was preparing the move to Broadgate and choosing the right production units that would enhance the service and offer more for the bank which was achieved by selecting the Ricoh Pro 7100sx printers which allowed us not only to print the normal 4 colour printing but with the added advantage of 5th colour. With the advances in technology Ricoh have allowed us to print clear and white which in turn allowed us to add clear finishing to document giving a glossy look but not only that we could add clear to designated areas or certain items (images text or whole pages) at a click of a button. UBS have been very supportive and on-board with the enhancements which were brought to the new building which brought costs down by bring work back in house that was previously sent out. To date all wide format work and banners are produced in house along with all vinyl signage which have brought cost savings to the bank along with tighter turnaround times for work. Staff now have the advantage of having personal printing done in-house with our new U-Print division dedicated to staffs personal print which once again helps to the cost of running the department but also saves the client/users money. In December 2013 after my Manager was made redundant I took over his role and my exciting role as a Senior Team Leader reporting to the Account Manager. My new role required me to manage all repro production and all client direct reporting. Due to the nature of the site I am very much hands on providing technical support at a senior level and training to the team as well as all general managers day to day tasks. The environment is a very demanding and high pressures role that requires a lot of customer support working with people from all levels to bestow confidence to the client and the team. Show less
