I am a solicitor qualified to practice in Northern Ireland, The Republic of Ireland as well as England and Wales and a partner with Flynn O'Driscoll Business lawyers dealing with all professional indemnity and D&O legal matters. I previously worked with in the insurance industry as Head of Financial Lines claims for AIG. Such include Professional negligence claims against Solicitors, Architects, Accountants, Engineers, Barristers, Financial advisors as well as Estate Agents/Auctioneers. I also provide coverage advice, claim strategy and litigation management for;Directors and Officers insurance policy claims.Financial Institution professional Indemnity and Crime claimsCaptive insurance/reinsurance programmes ( for wrongful acts, fraud/ record manipulation, wrongful advice and international embezzlement.)I have co authored with Bill Holohan,the only Irish legal text on the law of professional negligence relating to solicitors and other professionals. The book is published by Thomson Reuters Roundhall and entitled "Lawyers Professional Negligence and Insurance" I am was also a guest lecturer for the National College of Ireland delivering a paper on Risk Management and Claim Avoidance. I have also been guest speaker for the Irish Brokers Association(IBA) and the PNLA Ireland.Before moving to "in house" I spent several years in private practice as a solicitor acting for many of the main high street banks in commercial property and commercial litigation disputes. I also sat on occasion as solicitor representative in a Northern Ireland public inquiry. My practice also consisted of defence insurance litigation and representation of a government body.My expertise is Professional negligence insurance law as well as insurance policy interpretation and advice. I have recently been recognised by my peers as being one of World's leading practitioners in this area by Who's Who legal.
