Erecting mobile and tower cranes. Responsible for the safety of the cranes while in operation. Work involved was with the technical construction of the buildings that we worked on. Work involved regular site safety training and manual handling training as this is a very skilled role and a high standard must be adhered to at all times. It is one of the highest graded positions on a construction site.I was also involve in the erecting of precast concrete products which was a very skilled and dangerous role Responsible for all Documentation to ensure work is completed to the required Quality StandardsResponsible for Site Crane Safety ensuring at all times work is completed to the highest safety standards

Responsible for the erection of precast concrete products, such as, floors, stairs, columns, beams, panels and also bridges. Duties also included the positioning of the mobile crane units for the insulation of concrete products. This is a dangerous role and it is necessary to undertake continuous safety exams that involve the safe weights for lifting in crane operations and the issuing of the personal protection equipment to ensure the safety of each worker on site and the safety of the lifting load.

Worked in New York as a glazer and responsible for the installation of large mirrors, glass panels, windows and doors, concentrating on insulation of bathroom units. Worked on, the New York Hilton, The Waldorf, New York Palace and many other high profile hotels and major corporations. Responsible for maintaining high safety standards at all times and also ensuring all works were carried out to the highest standards.; Jan ’88 – July ’95: McDermott Fencing LtdDuties: Responsible for making, treating and erecting the fences working with concrete moulding and timber fencing. Ensured the team worked to a high standard in an efficient manner in order to achieve the projects that were assigned to our team. I was responsible for training and development of new staff, along with the health & safety briefings that took place on a weekly basis.

Worked alongside the trained carpenters and gained valuable experience in the area of carpentry. Also worked closely with plumbers and electricians and learned knowledge in both these areas.
