Mixed post: Specialist SLT working with head and neck cancer patients and patients with voice disorders. Currently working directly with inpatients and outpatients including attending head & neck weekly clinics. Access to H&N MDM and voice clinic also. Completing a range of competencies in relation to the above including Surgical Voice Restoration (SVR). Maintaining VF, FEES and Trache competencies.Active in service development/audit.

Working in critical care as well as with inpatients and outpatients with communication/voice/swallowing impairments secondary to an oncology diagnosis.Have completed:-Videofluorosocpy Training-Tracheostomy Competencies including with ventilator dependent patients -FEES Interpretation Training having attended 2 day external FEES interpretation and scoping course -Lung Cancer Service Evaluation/Audit

Specialist SLT providing input to all acute medical wards including ITU/HDU. Attendance and participation in weekly Videofluroscopy clinic. Completing relevant competencies in aforementioned areas, as well as CPD, training and supervision as indicated.

Speech and Language Therapist working on the Acute Stroke Unit, General Medical wards and Neuro/Stroke Rehabilitation Unit. Responsibilities include the assessment and management of acquired communication and swallowing disorders, as well as liaison with the MDT and continually maintaining/advancing my own professional development.

Working as an SLT intern with adults with aphasia and other acquired neurological conditions. In charge of each client's case management, with minimal supervision, similar to Band 5 Newly Qualified Practitioner.
