● Analysis of transaction reports submitted to the UK Regulator under MiFID guidelines. This is conducted on a periodic basis and includes but is not limited to: Completeness testing, Accuracy testing, Scenario testing and Additional Validation checks.● Includes Extensive liaison with internal stakeholders, including Technology, Middle Office and Compliance.● Responsible for conducting periodic UAT testing on a new in-house Software used for Transaction Reporting quality assurance analysis.● Responsible for testing in-team changes such as FCA Transaction Reporting under MiFID and the upcoming implementation of MiFID II.● Oversight testing of ORC monitored activities such as London Stock Exchange Trade Reporting.● Test functionality of strategic regulatory platform builds.● Assess and perform business analysis of regulatory initiatives with members from Operations, Technology, Compliance and the Business.● Assess and test strategic regulatory platforms and upstream systems for regulatory impacting changes.● Document all test plans and results whilst working as part of a team to drive key change initiatives to centralise the firms reporting, evaluating cost benefit and risk.● Work with Compliance and the Business to obtain test results approval.● Coordinate the front to back testing of all business and regulatory change.● Contribute to the maintenance of ORC change inventories.● Partner with other Operations Regulatory Control Regulatory Reporting and Quality Assurance teams to ensure holistic understanding of changes tested and updates implemented including MiFID II Reporting Directive implementation preparation across multiple product systems and areas.● Facilitated training of new staff members to ensure all team members have a working knowledge of systems and job requirements.● Daily usage of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel, Access, Word and Powerpoint, for both analysis purposes as well as to present findings to senior management.

Working in Margin Operations. Tasks include working on client margin calls, both making my own and approving (I have a sign off limit of $150 million) others payments to and from clients. I also investigate cash breaks to ensure that all funds are allocated to the correct accounts and that no discrepancies appear in customer balances. Another major daily task that I complete is working on disputed accounts, both investigating and working with clients to resolve any issues that are preventing correct payments being made and balances kept up to date. The majority of my day is spent managing client accounts to ensure that balances are in line, issues are resolved quickly and effectively and good client relationships are maintained at all times. Part of my daily tasks also includes building relationships with clients which helps to assist in all of the investigation work completed on a daily basis in our team.
