My name is David A. Cutting, and I am a professional Illustrator, Animator, Story Artist, & Character Designer. In 1994 I earned my BFA in Illustration with honors from The School of Visual Arts, NYC. I have worked successfully both as a freelance artist and a staff artist in the commercial fields of Illustration and Animation ever since.My career as an illustrator is currently credited with over 100 illustrated children’s picture and activity books for such publishers as Simon & Schuster, Golden Books, Hasbro, Modern Publishing, Kappa, Flower Pot Press, Son Schein Press, and Parachute. I am capable of illustrating in many different traditional and digital formats and styles, as well of able to build on and successfully illustrate established licensed characters such as Angry Birds, Lala-Oopsies, Fisher Price, Blue’s Clues, Veggie Tales, Holly Hobbie & Friends, John Deere, Tiny Planets, Backyardigans, and The Wiggles.As an animator I have worked for many great NYC studies. My work experience includes over 3 years with Nickelodeon’s Blue’s Clues as a Animator/Senior Animator, 2 years with Disney’s Jumbo Studio as a Storyboard Revisor and Designer for Doug and PB&J, and several years with various smaller studios such as Magnet, Stretch Films, Curious Pictures, & Ink Tank on various Design and Animation Projects, Short Films, and Commercials. In addition to working with many unique and creatively designed projects I have also had the pleasure to work with many well known major Licensed Characters such as Cowboys & Aliens, Howard B.
