Pipefitter class C. preformed new construction for a chemical plant in Gysmer la. I was promoted to to a Class B pipefitter after a week at the recommendation of my mentor and under his tutelage I leaned the skills the job required. Here i learned to read and understand pipe isometric drawings as well as P&ID's and build and install pipe accordingly. I wrote daily JSAs and communicated the hazards and required hazard mediation to the crew. I worked in collaboration with team members to construct pipe spools and install them in ground-level and elevated pipe racks. I was also part of the team who made the tie-in to the live section of the plants. One of my proudest moments was the day I recognized the signs of a sinkhole forming under the support column of the pipe rack in our work area. I successfully communicated the hazard to my superiors and it was discovered that a fire water line had ruptured underground and likely would have clamed a life if it was not mitigated when it was.

i worked as a fitter/ welder-helper in the demo, repair, and construction of industrial docks along the Mississippi River. Responsibilities for the position included measuring, marking, cutting, and fitting various support structures in marine applications. I set up jobs for daily work from running cords/hoses and building fire-boxes to writing permits in collaboration with Operations as well as performing job walk-downs with plant personnel. I preformed a daily Job Safety Analysis as well as safety inspections on all equipment incuding welding machines, skid steers, telehandlers (forklift) and drop pickers.

Sole door assembly tech for the ‘Cinder’ fire truck model. My responsibilities included installing all internal and external hardware/ wiring and installing doors on every truck. Due to my efficiency I was also given the title ‘Floater’, a job that allowed me to work on most other areas of the truck assembly from installing windshields and carpet, to assisting with the install of cabs to frames and setting engines and transmissions
