David has been involved in many projects over a range of acoustic disciplines covering:• Road traffic noise impact assessments;• Environmental noise assessments;• Noise measurement analysis and modelling;• Aircraft noise assessments;• Rail noise assessments;• Building design compliance and certification;• Liquor licensing and associated noise monitoring;• Building sound transmission tests;• Impact rating tests for hard floor;• Glazing studies; and• Acoustical compliance.In undertaking such projects, David has gained competency in applying mathematics, science and engineering to the analysis and solution of representative problems, situations and challenges in the area of acoustics.Now based in the Huon Valley, Tasmania, David's main focus of his projects relate to the acoustic aspects of residential, industrial and commercial development. This includes providing advice at the concept design stage through to the preparation of development impact assessments and certification.In December 2011 David was admitted as a member of the Australian Acoustical Society.
