A focused Mechanical Engineer employed full-time as a Mechanical Project Engineer at Torness Power Station. Graduating from Heriot-Watt University with a 2:1 grade in Mechanical Engineering, I have the drive and ambition to achieve greatness. During my degree, I’ve demonstrated my ability to learn a range of engineering principles to deliver practical solutions to a number of different challenges. Since starting working at Torness, I have been able to take the skills developed at university and further improve them whilst working in an engineering environment working on various projects. I’ve had exposure to forward thinking engineering approaches and the opportunity to apply the latest technology in the field such as additive manufacturing and process planning. I’m quick to learn new skills and work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of people as demonstrated by my current role and work experience across many industries. I’m currently looking to take on more engineering challenges and further expand my knowledge and skills as far as possible.
