Architecture and design of databases that support operational, analytic, and reporting needs for a financial services corporation. Project deliverables include conceptual, logical, and physical data models, data flow, and data mapping specifications. Day to day operations include data analysis and consulting as a subject matter expert in subject areas that I am responsible for, as well as project designs and implementations of database schemas. Provide oversight and direction to other Data Modelers to ensure designs conformed to strategic and architectural direction. Provide architectural direction for long term data strategies that conform to business demands in a highly regulatory environment. Participate in strategic initiatives for the firm including the development, and management of an enterprise business data model, metadata repository, data governance strategies including information and data lifecycle and retention strategies and data access security for centralized data repositories. Create and maintain a repeatable data modeling strategy that was ratified and incorporated into the firm's software development process.

Systems Analysis and Design for a telephony based software consulting company. Elicited and documented business requirements through analysis. Developed functional and technical specifications as part of design deliverables.

Functional Manager for a team of software engineers and system architects that were responsible for the design and implementation of a suite of software applications in the Network Products subject area. In this role, I was accountable for managing and directing the tasks of individuals reporting to me, as well as setting strategic direction for the design and functionality of the applications within my subject area.

Analysis and Systems Design in a fixed-bid contract setting for both commercial and governmental clients. Wrote and provided estimates which were used in fixed bids for systems. Wrote business requirements specifications, functional design specifications, including data models, user interface and batch designs. Wrote integration, system, and user acceptance test plans.

Developed applications, including detailed design specifications, code, and unit tests in a client-server environment utilizing a relational database management system.

Provided IT consulting, including software development and project leadership to several clients in the St. Louis area. Served as Consulting Services Coordinator, a leadership position within the consulting company responsible for the oversight of consultants. Left company to accept offer of permanent employment with a client.

Developed code for unix based systems in C and for DOS based systems in PL/I. Applications were intended for in-bound call centers and specialized in scheduling, call volume forecasting, and force status management for call centers.
