Hi I’m a apprentice trained fully qualified bench joiner, I left school at 16 and did a compulsory 3 year apprenticeship at portakabin who is part of the Shepard building group based in York. I spent 10years working there where I had the pleasure of learning the joinery trade and all how manufacturing on a large scale works, I was able to work pretty much all of the site for example I was able to learn the production side of the business by been on the production lines, and on fitting out kabins in the yards to been on site all over the country helping to finish large projects.I left in my early 20’s as a opportunity came up to where I could further learn more about the joinery trade and the more site orientated side of things unfortunately after 5 years the company went in administration and I was made redundant.For 2 years I worked for a small company making timber products as per customers requirements.I then got another opportunity to work for a vehicle conversion company called O&h vehicle conversions where iv able to learn a lot of useful skills and to honest I still learning new things.Iv since made the jump to Venari groups main hq in brighouse where I’m currently helping in the development of new and improved conversions…
