Project Development Consultant for Our Chartist Heritage, a CIO which aims to educate the public about the Chartist story and legacy, while driving engagement in contemporary issues around democracy, advocacy and engagement. As Project Development Consultant I;- developed a mission statement for the charity- led a rebranding of charity's public facing activities- created and maintained a multi-platform social media and press campaign, with sole creative control - produced all video, copy and images and any other media used to attract an audience and reach that went from creation to over 50,000 unique views in first six months - secured significant funding from local business, government and funding bodies- delivered an inclusive, youth focused program of activities in line with mission- updated and developed payment and donation systems, while also increasing donation volumes- Festival Director for a brand new festival (Newport Rising), leading on all aspects of the festival delivery including programming, event and safety management- raised the profile of the charity, particularly in the target 15 to 30 age group- attracted and retained 40+ volunteers and implemented reward scheme- laid foundations for future years

I lead a team working to restore and re-open a heritage building (The Westgate Hotel) into a live music, arts and heritage venue in Newport's city centre. I am the lead in all aspects of the business, including all digital media production, social media and online marketing, web design and audience development. - I have developed our brand, digital assets and style guidelines and grown our social media channels and presence - managed crowdfunder campaigns including the direction of video appeals to raise thousands from public and corporate backers - designed and managed organic and paid advertising campaigns across social media, print and press- written press releases and copy for a wide range of audiences and platforms - drafted successful funding applications to Music Venue Trust and other organisations, attracting further investment - managed audience interactions, complaints and friction points across all public channels

As a freelance copywriter I’ve written content for online platforms that has been sold to Spotify, BP and other FTSE 100 companies. Content was produced at pace to deliver COVID-19 specific advice to working parents. The project owners were grateful for my accuracy and ability to capture the correct tone for the copy quickly and intuitively.Other paid freelance work has included working with a sporting brand that wanted to pivot quickly to sell reusable face masks in response to COVID-19. I worked with the company to develop a logo, brand and produced social media content and marketing strategy.I pay attention to detail, can write for different audiences and work hard with client to capture the right voice for their message.

Creator and co-owner of The Escape Rooms, Newport's first escape room venue. Since inception in 2017, we've built a reputation as one of the best escape room experiences around, gathering all 5 star ratings on Facebook, Google and TripAdvisor where we are also at the number one spot in Newport for our category. In 2018 we won The Argus Business 'Start-up of the Year' award and Voice magazine / V awards 'Activity of the Year'. The Escape Rooms closed during COVID lockdowns and the directors shuttered the business to work on other projects.

As Senior Creative Technologist, I managed a team of designers and reported to the Directors. I led on a number of high profile projects including;• The technical plan and project design for the video capture, production and live streaming of British Dance Edition 2016 at Wales Millennium Centre – a week-long event requiring the capture, fast turn-around editing and live streaming of thousands of hours of footage and an international online audience (streaming trailer and more info here link)• The design and delivery of a project to 3D scan a number of sites including Cardiff’s ‘Coal Exchange’, the Artes Mundi exhibition at National Museum Wales, Chapter and ffotogallery. • Technical lead on the Tiger Bay Tales project. I headed a team to manage and deliver software development for a multi-user touch screen installation for the Wales Millennium Centre.I acted as lead on many additional projects including the design, development and delivery of an online curated collection of welsh cultural activities (CULTVR), and as key designer on a series of projects as part of the ‘City of the Unexpected’ celebration in Cardiff and as senior staff member was responsible for overseeing junior employees, budget, project reports and many other activities as I saw fit.
