I have worked for Tenpin since 2001 and in 2011 I was asked to join the management team as Front of House Manager. This was a new role encompassing the Chief Mechanic and Duty Manager roles. This was a new role encompassing the Chief Mechanic and Duty Manager roles. My responsibilities include leading the tech department, dealing with the training and development needs of the technicians, planning maintenance and routine cleaning of the machines. Ordering parts and ensuring essential stock is available when required, planning and adhering to budgets, cash handling and staff management. Working at one of the largest and busiest Tenpin sites in the North of England, I deal with the public on daily basis, ensuring the best service is provided by both, myself and my team so that our customer satisfaction targets are continually exceeded. I work closely with the front of house team, dealing with training and development, rewarding excellent service and working closely with staff to correct any poor performance. I also have an active roll in the recruitment process, reviewing CVs, conducting interviews and hosting assessment centres. Always ensuring we get the right team members for Tenpin’s values and to deliver excellent customer service. I ensure heath and safety regulations are adhered to, COSHH and risk assessments are completed timely and implemented correctly.I also cover the supervisory responsibilities in the General Manager’s absence. Whilst at Harmsworth Printing I worked night shifts where I would prepare the press area ready for the print. This would include loading the large rolls of paper and preparing them ready enabling the press to run continuously at a high speed. During my time at Harmsworth Printing I gained a BTEC in Web Off-Set Printing, after completing this course the lecturer had asked to use some of my work as examples for future courses, I was also selected to train and achieve a counter-balance truck… Show more Whilst at Harmsworth Printing I worked night shifts where I would prepare the press area ready for the print. I worked for Asda as part of the night shift team, where I was responsible for replenishing the store with the daily deliveries. I also worked on the tills and dealt with customer enquiries, from this role I gained a basic knowledge of customer service, a transferable skill I have developed and found to be invaluable in my present role.
