David has over 30 years IT, Technology, Digital, and Cyber Security experience across a variety of sectors. From RAC Motoring Services, MoD, to Airbus and BBC, David has steered many a business transformation through technology, and consistently delivered. Whether as an advisor, employee, or executive, he has remained steadfast in his ability to deliver whilst motivating teams of all sizes and locations. From 2009 to 2020, David spearheaded a digital transformation at Hargreaves Lansdown. As an Executive Director he effectively managed multiple regulatory responsibilities including SMF3 and SMF24 roles. David and the team significantly evolved the technology which formed the backbone of the business whilst underpinning substantial growth and strategic propositional launches. One key achievement was the conception and launch of a technology and innovation hub in Warsaw, Poland in 2016, to focus on legacy modernisation using leading edge practices - which still operates to this day. Recognition for his work at Hargreaves Lansdown led to many Global awards. The most noteworthy being 'UK CIO of the Year' by Computing and the Chartered Institute for IT. This is also supported by multiple entries in the UK’s prestigious CIO100 list and Computing’s CIO Top 10. David’s work also gained plaudits from the USA in 2019 as he was named one of the HMG Strategy ‘Top Technology Executives to watch’. David has a tenacity to deliver irrespective of headwinds or the size of challenge. It was a desire to drive business and technology change at pace, whilst identifying a gap in the market to provide dedicated support to the UK’s Financial Services sector, which led him to found Navos. The passion and drive at Navos is contagious and has spread throughout the fully UK based team, which continues to grow rapidly, whilst building integration partnerships with the industry’s leading suppliers. In 2023 David was presented with the coveted 'FinTech Leader of the Year' award by FinTech South West and EY, further endorsing his reputation for delivering results.David and the team at Navos are successfully supporting several innovative businesses by delivering market leading solutions. David also manages his son, Callum Davies, who is considered one of the most up and coming UK based racing driver talents. In 2023 he was crowned the Ginetta GT Pro Vice Champion in his inaugural season of car racing. 2024 saw him compete in the illustrious British GT Championship where Callum raced the McLaren Artura GT4 with RaceLab, with a set of outstanding results.
