I have over 14 years experience in the technology industry helping to grow some of the worlds most exciting startups I started my career in 1999 at GKN Westland Helicopters as a avionics/electronic engineer, whilst attaining a degree (2:1) at Bath University in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.In early 2001 I took the plunge into software engineering, when I joined Riversoft (later acquired by Micromuse) as a test automation engineer; subsequently moving to Sun Microsystems and leading a team of software engineers to build a new blade platform based on the Linux OS.From 2005 to 2013 I worked at Mobile Interactive Group (MIG) (who were subsequently acquired by NASDAQ listed Velti plc in November 2011). I joined the company as its first full time developer, architecting, building and supporting the key platforms which were imperative to the company's success over the next eight years. In September 2008 MIG was ranked No.1 in The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100, securing the title of fastest growing privately owned technology company in the UK. In 2009 I was appointed Director of Technology managing a team of 30+ developers and their subsequent acquisition to Velti in 2011. In early 2013, I took on an exciting new role as the CTO of an innovative and sustainable fashion brand - WOOL AND THE GANG. Here I have delivered a unique e-commerce platform specifically tailored to enable customers to buy individual and stylish pieces, hand crafted by our network of global makers or make it themselves with our KNIT KITS tutored by our online wool school. WOOL AND THE GANG is rebooting home manufacturing to bring our customers beautifully crafted, unique pieces, never from a factory.
