David De Jong, Ed.D., is the Dean of the College of Education at Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota. His research agenda includes technology and innovation and has 31 published peer-reviewed journal articles. He has taught online and hybrid graduate courses and chaired dozens of doctoral dissertation committees. He was awarded the University of South Dakota School of Education Teaching in Excellence Award in 2017 and the University of South Dakota School of Education Research in Excellence Award in 2019 and 2021. He is the past President of the International Council of Professors of Educational Leadership. His previous experience includes service as a teacher, coach, principal, superintendent, assistant professor, associate professor, and Chair of the Division of Educational Leadership at the University of South Dakota.
