CurrentMy responsibilities after 30+ years of service as an educator included working at both the comprehensive and continuation school settings. As a teacher, I taught a variety of subjects, focused on the area of Business Education when computers and technology were catching students' fancy with full class enrollments.Working as Assistant Principal allowed me to gain keen insights into all aspects of student discipline, athletic and student activities, and the evaluating of teachers while being in the classroom on a daily basis, further allowing me quality time to interact with both teachers and students.I concluded my education career by serving as the Principal of McClellan High School for seven years, a continuation of a100 students, where I was able to gain huge personal insights with students as they re-gained a focus on their academic development, daily positive interactions, and an advocate for students as needed. My successful teaching experiences and proven administrator duties have given me a broad base of knowledge that will further serve me as I embark on limited substitute teaching opportunities in the Western Placer USD and the Rocklin Unified USD.
