The River Steward is responsible for public education, project management and advocacy about issues and situations affecting the River in the 273-mile upper river valley reach of the river and its tributaries in VT and NH.1989 - 2017 Vermont Connecticut River Watershed Advisory CommissionAs the founding chair of the Vermont Commission, I worked closely with the chair of the counterpart New Hampshire Commission to create the Connecticut River Joint Commissions, the first bi-state organization chartered to plan for the future of the Connecticut River and coordinate policies about the river between VT and NH.1983 - 2010 Owner/Operator - STRICTLY TROUT Flyfishing Guide ServiceStarted Strictly Trout because of my love of the out of doors and fishing. Manage all aspects of running at that time the oldest professional fly fishing guide service in Vermont and NH. 1987 - 1988 Elected Member Vermont State SenateFirst Democrat ever elected to the Vermont Senate from Windham County, VT.
