• Collaborated with scientists, production managers, engineers and vendors to research, develop, implement and document processes and data collection formats in support of both research and production operations for custom flat panel excimer microplasma lighting products engineered to emit various visible, UV and VUV wavelengths for use in, materials analysis, materials processing, air purification, water treatment, medical and other applications.• Researched, specified and procured materials, equipment, tools and supplies.• Formulated, mixed and dispensed proprietary phosphor pastes, glass sealing frit pastes andvehicles. • Designed, fabricated and modified assembly jigs for new lamp designs, as well as for increased throughput of existing lamp designs, to maximize yield per oven cycle.• Cut, shaped and bonded various types of glass - Soda lime, quartz, fused silica, lead, MgF2, conductive coated and strengthened - for use in lamps and assembly jigs.• Assembled visible and UV lamps using patented designs and proprietary processes and materials. • Inspected products and incoming materials and parts.• Collected and analyzed data from lamp lifetime tests for output quantity and quality. • Programmed XYZ table (pneumatic dispense robot) to dispense proprietary pastes.• Maintained inventories of raw materials, lamp parts and lab supplies.• Documented process and test parameters for research, development and production activities.• Set up, operated and maintained equipment - Physical vapor deposition (PVD), photolithography, chemical etching, electroplating, anodizing, vacuum, mixing, screen print, thermal imaging, photographic, pneumatic, air operated dispensing, centrifuge, high temperature ovens, glass cutting and shaping, lapidary saw, and sonic cleaning equipment and related measurement, power and hand tools.
