Responsible for soliciting subcontractors for bidding residential homes in Weston. Prepared subcontracts including full scopes of work. Worked directly with Purchasing Manager to generate subcontracts and material purchase agreements. Performed all estimating for change orders, represented firm to Architects, and other professionals, as well as subcontractors, public authorities, and the general public. Managed, negotiated, and settled claims. Worked with the estimating department to produce both competitive and negotiated bids. Managed tenant improvement projects ranging from $75,000 up to $1,000,000.

Responsibilities included construction estimating for large sized general contractor specializing in interior construction with an exclusive list of clients. Coordinated estimates and bids including quantity take-offs, pricing, and subcontractor bids. Prepared and negotiated proposals with architects, owners and subcontractors. Projects ranged from small private contracts to $20,000,000 government projects (local, state and federal levels) including the Coconut Grove Exhibition Center and the Claude Pepper Fountain at Bayside.

Controlled and updated submittal process for projects. Coordinated all required inspections with all municipalities and agencies. Posted, maintained and observed all safety requirements for the jobsites. Managed all change order requests from subcontractors to the owners under the project manager’s supervision. Reviewed shop drawings and updated as builds at jobsite. Assisted the project engineer in scheduling of all concrete pours, pumps and crane rentals. Responsible for coordinating with the accounting department any extra work order numbers for labor and/or subcontractors working on the job without a contract.
