• Responsible for leading a team of 5-8 engineers for Booster Structures to design the Aft Transition Structure and Strap-On Attach Hardware. Developed unique solution to test verify the Strap-On Attach Hardware which uncovered many issues that were fixed in advance of first flight.• Lead failure investigation team to determine direct and root cause of the 2nd RP Tank Anomaly.• Lead $12M project to retest the RP Tank after design changes were implemented.

• Supervised a team of engineers to validate Pro-E model designs for a program of over 100 designers. Created processes to validate all designs for fit, form, and function. Focused on anticipating manufacturing problem areas prior to drawing release.• Discovered major interference condition between two large structural components which would have delayed the program for months.• Engineering manager stated “Dave has the keen ability to see all facets of a problem, enabling him to make wise decisions in high risk areas”
